Vladi Starkov is a Licensed Acupuncturist, Herbalist, and natural health practitioner in Sonoma County who comes from a lineage of women healers in Bulgaria. From an early age, she was fascinated by her grandmother’s stories about herbs, healing, and medicine. She always knew this was her calling, and in her teens became interested in Eastern philosophy, meditation, and Yoga. While pursuing her BA at Boston University, a friend suggested she see an acupuncturist for a medical condition. She was instantly intrigued by the holistic way this treatment led to miraculous results and addressed the entire human being. This experience along with her first class in Chinese Medicine in college helped set her on a path of healing and study.

Vladi has been practicing as an acupuncturist for many years, successfully addressing a wide variety of health conditions. She loves to help people who are ready to Flourish! Vladi is committed to facilitating and supporting her clients in their radical transformation. She has helped people with diverse pain conditions, fertility trouble, her pregnancy-related complaints, emotional problems, PMS, skin and digestive issues and many others. She has had more than 5,500 hours of academic and clinical training in Chinese Medicine theory, Western Medicine, Acupuncture, Herbology, Medical Qigong, and Nutrition and is a graduate of the prestigious Five Branches University. Vladi, an expert Santa Rosa acupuncturist, holds extensive training in the areas of pain, women’s health, fertility, Ayurveda and psycho-spiritual emotional balance.

Before founding Flourish Integrative Health in Santa Rosa, Vladi graduated from the renowned Doctorate Program at the International Institute of Medical Qigong and earned DMQ status (Doctor of Medical Qigong). She has had the greatest honor to be a student of renowned Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson in his Taoist mysticism, Medical Qigong and TaiJi classes for five years. Vladi loves to integrate “the best of the East” and is currently pursuing deeper training in Ayurveda and enjoying both the similarities and differences from her previous training. She is also a Certified Massage Therapist, with specialties in Asian Bodywork, namely Shiatsu, Lotus Hands, and Ayurvedic massage.

She loves living in California and enjoys hiking, dancing, singing in harmony, meditating, doing Yoga and Qigong, studying Buddhism, traveling internationally, and growing.

Jen Potthast holds a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley. She became fascinated with medicine at an early age. Then, after experiencing firsthand the difference a dedicated healthcare practitioner can make in someone’s life, she became determined to pay it forward by devoting her career to healing. Initially training as an EMT and loving the immediate and tangible ways that emergency medicine can support someone in need, she then discovered Traditional Chinese Medicine and knew immediately that this was her calling. Throughout her almost twenty years in practice and many wonderful healing experiences with patients, Jen has had a wide range of training opportunities as a general practitioner, and has continued to advance her skills, with concentrations in fertility, pregnancy, postpartum support, pain relief, sleep and stress related troubles, and internal conditions. With a team oriented approach, what Jen cherishes most about her work is the opportunity to partner with people on their journey to improved wellness. While she deeply honors her role as an educator and provider, she listens closely to her patients’ feelings, concerns, needs, and goals. Dr. Suzanne Alvino Rosen is a licensed acupuncturist and board-certified Ayurvedic practitioner who brings a multidimensional approach to whole-person healthcare. Her background in ecology and animism lends a dynamic perspective to her clinical practice, which weaves together ancient and modern aspects of medicine to create tailored treatments for every patient. Following several years in the fields of conservation ecology and clinical herbalism, she traveled through Ecuador and Peru studying botanical medicine and trained with Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute. She then earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University after discovering the profound synergy between acupuncture and Ayurveda through personal experience.

By combining Ayurveda, modern biomedical perspectives, and traditional East Asian modalities such as acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, tui na massage, and moxibustion, Suzanne offers treatments that create an immediate shift in the physical/mental/spiritual experience and also empower patients to live their daily lives with increased self-understanding, compassion, and wisdom of choice.

This work is an invitation into deeper relationship with the rhythms of nature and one’s own inner wisdom & healing capacity. When she’s not in the clinic, Suzanne enjoys hiking, dancing, travel, medicine-making, quality time with her loved ones, and volunteering with the Botanical Bus. She is enamored with honeybees, native pollinators, plants, fungi, and animals of all kinds.
